Hey guys. When I was working for my decorating company, I was told that I could claim my tax back due to being under 18.

How to claim back tax
If you have paid too much tax on your bank or building society interest, you can claim it back.
If you have a tax office you should contact that office and tell them you believe you can claim back some tax. They will tell you what you need to do.
If you don’t have a tax office, you should complete form R40 Tax Repayment. The R40 has notes (PDF 186K) with it that will help you. If you need more help please ring our Leicester & Northants Claims Office on Tel 0845 366 7850.

I've found this and I'm sure this will be the same for your situation, so go to your tax office or complete the form.
how were you paid? did you have a paye reference?
Paid straight into my bank? I have payslips? x
I thought it is if you are under the age of 16 that you don't have to pay. It depends on how much income you received there is a certain amount of money that if you earn more than you will be taxed if you earn less than that then you wont (In a year).
You need to fill out a P50 and send it off with parts 1A of your P45 to your local Tax Office. Takes ages but you will get a cheque back sooner of later.
Thats how i did it last year anyway, got about £200 back.

No point filling in forms if you earned more than 5 grand a year..
That what the max you can earn without being taxed.
yeh it depends on how much you get paid. it's weird how it does it read into it though you could get a lil lump sum.
