UCAS "insurance offer"
I'm ever so slightly confused about the "insurance offer" system on the UCAS, so for example, if I get a conditional offer from Edinburgh uni and an unconditional offer from say, Napier, does this mean I can choose Edinburgh as my first choice and the unconditional from Napier as my "insurance offer"? And if I didn't meet my condition for Edinburgh, I would go to Napier?
Plz help?! :S

Yes that's exactly what it means.
Usually your insurance is lower grades so if you don't make the grades for your first choice, you can hopefully go to your insurance.

Your insurance option is a back up plan incase anything goes wrong. You wouldn't really need the insurance if you have an unconditional for your chosen course but if it is a conditional then it is best to have a back up.
Mines didn't really matter as my main option and insurance were for the same Uni but for slightly different course :P

edit: i am wrong.
yes you can put an unconditional as your insurance and yes that would be correct.
