Here we go again, I mentioned this a few months ago and said that what will happen is that it will be shoved through via the backdoor as it always is - and now it is happening. A real eurosceptic Tory MEP Roger Helmer said last month that this Coalition government was actually handing away powers faster than the previous Labour government and that takes some doing!

No matter who you elect in the future, these powers will be gone forever - unless we leave.

Wait, so he wants to survey how countries who aren't in the rubbish spend their money? That's like allowing someone who can turn anything they touch into fire near another person. We should keep our budget away from the greedy buggar :/

i don't see anyone else covering this story nor does the quote come from anywhere else.

nor does the president of the council have any power. so yeah i can likely see this being true ;)

+you can find many more stories on what Van Rompuy has been upto, afterall it is his job to power grab powers from national governments.

Not that your analysis ever hold any water, afterall you did say that the Lisbon Treaty wasn't the Consitution - yeah, right and i'm a flying cat.

Do you even know what van rompuy even does? he has no actual power himself. and the lisbon treaty was a lot of the same thing as the constitution but it did have some certain articles missing. Therefore it was not the same thing.

The EU only can ever work when it's agreed and all 27 treasurers would not agree on this so would not be passed in the council of ministers. You are living in a dream world. We already had a sort of growth and stability pact which was a loose sort of agreement years and years ago but germany decided it wasn't going to live in it any more and it just died away.

Mr Van Rompuy pushes for more powers to European insitutions, his agenda is unwanted seeing as he is unelected and opinion polls show it - that is what Mr Van Rompuy does and what the European elite and yourself need to realise is that nobody wants Mr Van Rompuy anymore than they want his ridiculous post to exist along with his highly inflated salary paid for with taxpayers money.

The Lisbon Treaty on the other hand was near 99% the same, with wording changed and besides, even before the Lisbon Treaty was implemented they were already implementing parts of that Treaty-Consitution arrogantly ignoring public opinion and making the Irish vote twice to give the 'correct answer' - if you think that is democratic then you have a very very warped view of what democracy or fairness is.

Referendum now, we were promised it by all three main parties.

For now - while parliament retains the right to pull itself from the Union, in many areas we've lost that power which was a key aim of Jean Monnet the man behind the Union which was QMV and the Union itself having the power to make decisions (see the disasterous Euro).

Why not just come clean and admit that yes, this project is intended to create a European superstate - do you want to be a part of this yes/no?

If the people vote yes then i'll shut up and move away, until then - referendum and the truth given please.
