Is this right?

Okay well I was in my french class in school, and this boy who did nothing got shouted at, the teacher wacked a ruler on the deck said "SHUTUP!" and then he said "but I did nothing?"
and then the teacher replied, "I think I need to write a note to your mum to sort out these problems you have, behavior and attitude."

do you think its right for a teacher to go up to someone who did nothing and say they have problems? LOOL,

Thats ludicrous, by the sounds of it, it's your teacher that has problems. If anything does happen, you could back him up though.

OMG I know right, she was only hired because she was the only person who could speak french aswell as english, quite well

In my personal opinion, I don't think they should be able to humiliate you in front of your whole entire class and I think smacking a ruler on the desk and telling a pupil to shut up instead of simply saying be quiet is a bit extreme. I think there is a bigger picture to this though and he might have actually done something without anybody realising it but the teacher? If you were in the teachers shoes though and they had to deal with constant disruption in quite a lot of their lessons every single day, then I think the kid would feel stressed and exactly the same as the teacher.

The way I see it is a teacher is their to teach you and is there for nothing else but that. They might have their own opinion on you, but they should keep that to themselves.

She sounds like she's got more of an attitude that the student. If she gets more volatile, you should tell your tutor, or headmaster, or whoever has the power to do something about it.

I agree with this. The teacher may have done it for many reasons and as Splintus said they might feel stressed with their other pupils from the class before?

On the topic of the teacher saying he has problems - he/she didn't mean he actually has 'problems' just problems with his behaviour and attitude.

If they were stressed from previous classes they certainly shouldn't be taking it out on other pupils :P

they shouldnt say that the pupil has got problems, and yeah i agree with you dinasaw^^.
