I've connected my laptop to my TV and the sound was working for 5 minutes and then it just went off, the image is still working and when I go on my sounds of control panel it's working with the test (Xylophone being played) but it won't work with things on the internet; I just played a DVD for a couple of minutes and it was working. Any help!?
Faulty cable? Tried wiggling it around and checking its plugged in properly?
Have you told the laptop to use the HDMI card to be the default device for the sound? Right Click the Sound Icon > Playback Devices and then whatever says HDMI sound out. It might be trying to use the laptop for sound. It happened a few times for an old PC computer I had :)
