The E3 2011 Thread
When? (Main Conferences)
- Microsoft - June 6th at 9:00 am PST
- Sony - June 6th at 5:00 am PST
- Nintendo - June 7th at 9:00 am PST
What? E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) is the biggest video game expo in the world. Yearly, the press conferences that take place at the expo bring the biggest video game news including hardware and software reveals.
What to expect?
- Project Cafe - Nintendo's next home console will be reveaeld. The system is rumored to have a touch screen controller and be in full HD.
- The PlayStation Vita / NGP - Sony will fully reveal their next handheld (rumored to be named PlayStation Vita). They may or may not reveal the final price and release date.
- More Kinect games - After the huge sales of the Kinect for Microsoft, expect the camera to be at Microsoft's conference sporting some hardcore games as well as casual games.
- A bunch of Nintendo 3DS games including Super Mario 3DS.
- RUMOR: Grand Theft Auto 5
- RUMOR: Resident Evil 6
- RUMOR: New Alan Wake game
- Sony will comment on the PSN situation.
- All the big games that still aren't out like The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Swords, Mass Effect 3, Bioshock Infinite, Codename: Kingdoms, Twisted Metal, etc.
- Announcement of PSP Remaster Series for North America.
- Some more Move games, but not a focus of the Sony press conference.
- Hints that Sony and Microsoft are working on their future consoles.

I'll be missing the Sony conference due to it being on at 1AM over here and I have an exam in the morning.

Really exciteddd, I'll be watching all of them at some point.

Looking forward to what Nintendo come up with, although I have no interest in purchasing whatever that may be.
GTA 5 won't happen imo - although I imagine Agent might get talked about more.

I'll probably watch all of the presentations, although I have a feeling Microsoft will be lacking this year with Sony announcing the new PSP and Nintendo with their new console. That said I do hope they have something more than more Kinect games

I'll be watching all three (that saying I'll only be watching nintendo for information about Cafe), woo for no exams tomorrow.

E3 is starting on gametrailers at 5PM BST, 9AM PDT. I'm quite excited for whats to come this year, Ive been watching a few E3 trailers and it's looking good!
