January Jones and Jennifer Lawrence in the same film while the whole film's structure reflected that of the civil rights movement and it fit together into the X-Men canon with surgical precision. The final moments you can almost hear the screws tightening on all the series.
Anyone else seen it or am I the only one who's seen film of the year?

I LOVED it. It was absolutely brilliant. Major fan of the x-men series and i really hope this isnt the last (although it would certainly end on a high).
Having done GCSE history i had a much larger appreciation as well for the cold war references. Enjoyed pretty much everything about it, and i gotta say, the devil fella was probably my favourite.

Saw it last week and loved it. Far better than The Dark Knight.
It was heartbreaking when Charles lost his legs, I was dreading it the whole film. Also, I loved the Magneto slow-mo coin sequence at the end and Wolverine's cameo.

Actually, it didn't. Emma Frost is a lot older in First Class than she is in Origins and Cyclops is Havocs older brother, yet in Origins (which is set at least twenty years after First Class) he is in his teens, while Havoc is in his teens in First Class. There are a few other minor inaccuracies, too. I attended a panel by the writers of X-Men: First Class and they were asked about this and acknowledged the flaws in continuity.

I thought it was the bext x-men film. It gave me a huge insight and answered a lot of my questions from the other films! :D

Meh, I still prefered X-Men 2. It was awesome though. I saw it twice on release day and I'm still quoting it.

I thought it was the best x-men film yet, apparently, it's the start of a new trilogy, so i'm looking forward to the next 2. I'm glad it wasn't all about wolverine as well, and I agree with neem, the devil mutant was the highlight for me, I didn't know that him and raven were Night crawlers parents until a friend told me :P it was funny how they killed the token black guy off first as well, especially seeing as his power made him pretty much death proof haha.

Yeah i noticed a few too, for example
in the, i believe, third film when the xavier and magneto go and visit jean for the first time, xavier is walking but is his old, bald self. Yet in this one he's young and cannot walk (at the end obviously) so.... yeah. That didnt make much sense.
