Need info on a game

Alright, so I posted a thread about this in April last year, but it wasn't successful, so I'ma post again

There's this game that I used to play ages ago, my grandad had it but sadly he passed away

It was a disc game for the PC that had like flying boats and different countries, I think they were mostly Asian, because I can remember being in a Chinese-like port and being able to get a flying junk, but that's about it, if anyone can give me some info, I'll +REP, thanks

Any idea how long ago and do you remember anything else, did the boats have anything unusual about them?

Freelancer? Do flying boats mean spaceships?

And no, they weren't spaceships, they were just like boats fitted with propellers and stuff that flew like a plane through the sky, I think.
