Just looked on habbo and have checked out the new Groups/Guilds. Less customising options than i thought, but still worth a look! New banners with guild logos, shared rooms and all the web based forum stuff from the older groups. Still looking into it atm! :)

How Do I Create My Own Group?
To create your own group you have to member of VIP. You can find Groups under the Groups shop page.
How Do I Set Up My Homeroom?
When you set up your group for the first time you're asked to select a homeroom. Your homeroom cannno't be changed after you select it, so choose carefully.
How Do I Join A Group?
You can find a group's info by clicking on a group members badge, or by going to the groups homeroom. In the homeroom you go to the room settings menu, and click the group badge to see the groups info and be able to join the group.
If you are a VIP or HC member you can join up to 50 groups. If you are not a HC or VIP member you can only join one group.
How Do I Leave A Group?
To leave a group you just click on your Habbo in the info stand to open your (new!) extended profile. Your extended profile lists all the groups you're a member of. To leave a group just click on the badge of the group you want to leave and click "Leave group"
Designing Your Homeroom
In Groups you and your fellow group members can design your homeroom. You can choose what rights other users have in your room in the Manage Groups menu.
Managing Your Group- Group Types
In the settings you can choose the group type:
Regular - (anyone can join),
Exclusive - (membership has to be approved by group owner or admin)
Private - (no one can join)
Managing Your Group- Rights!
To manage your group click on your group badge and then on "Manage groups". Here you can select what rights other Habbos will have in your Group:
Member- Basic membership in the group. Members can add furniture (if the option is turned on) but can only remove their own, and can only post to threads in forum.
Admin- Can approve other members to join the group and move Furniture around in the room and put your furniture in the room. And remove other peoples furniture from the room (removed furniture goes back to the furni owners inventory). Can also start new threads in the forum and delete threads.
Owner- All the rights listed above, plus ability to edit group name/ description and the badge.
What About The Old Web Groups?
The old web groups feature is still here, but no new Groups can be created at this time. The new Groups feature also has a dedicated web forum, but no Group front page. Existing Groups can still be joined.

I was wondering where it had gone, came on and its disappeared!
We piloted the Groups earlier, but there were a few problems and so we had to disable the feature.
Due to a plethora of technical issues we had to remove the new Groups feature earlier today. We had hoped to be able to pilot the feature all weekend, but alas, the fates were against us and a few small (but incredibly annoying) bugs surfaced and we thought it was easy just to turn off the feature rather than rush to fix it, and potentially cause more hassle.
The bug affected room rights, that caused Habbo's to gain room rights to other Habbos rooms, and thus were able to move furniture around and trash the room.
No Furni was removed from the rooms. This particular issue has been sorted, and the fix is live, but we thought it most prudent to keep the Groups disabled over the weekend.
We offer our humblest apologies to any Habbos who got their rooms damaged due to this.
Apologies to anyone who got caught up in the Group related madness earlier, we hope to be able to pilot the feature again early next week. But that's the crazy fun of being the pilot site, you never know what's going to happen.
Anyone who purchased a Group via the "New Items" page and got a broken Group will have their Credits refunded early next week also.

This is a step in the right direction towards giving out the different levels of rights, but it would be nice to be able to do it WITHOUT having to have a group... :rolleyes: :(
