Hey,
I love habboxforum but one thing i don't agree with is when a user leaves they should be entitled to have the option of making their account 'anonymous'. I have posted things over the years that may portray a racist or vile image of myself. We all make mistakes and say stupid things, should something i have done as a teenager haunt me as an adult? Obviously if i was to become biebers partner in crime, stuff like this would haunt me and could even damage my future career. I understand entirely why you can't just remove posts, it would be like removing a chapter from a book, you would get lost half way through the book. However is it not possible to even allow people to disable their account somewhat like facebook but instead of removing everything just put all the disabled accounts under the name anonymous and if people choose to come back they can enable their account (it should take some time to get their account restored fully like a month to stop messers) by logging in and selecting 'enable account'. I'm sure there is a plugin out there that allows this but it just involves some digging out.
I sound like a right muppet and the chances are I personally won't become famous but what if others do and something like this bites them in the bum when it really doesn't have to. The majority of the stuff I post here I regret for that reason and that reason only and if i had the option to make my posts anonymous it would put my mind at ease encase i wish to do it in the future.
I'm sure half the people on the forum haven't really thought about it 'cause they weren't an arse to people like the other half of the forum but even small things like embarrassing posts you made about health that you don't want people to be able to search through search engines, they may find it but it'd be under the account anonymous so they wouldn't know it's you.
I understand in habboxforums terms and conditions it basically says anything we post becomes your content, which is fair enough but does it really have to be a battle to get something like this implemented. If we want to get technical about terms and conditions i didn't ask for my parents consent to agree to the terms and conditions so i was just a minor at the time and realistically by law, need my parents consent to agree to any terms and conditions.
