Prometheus

Has anyone seen the trailer for the Film Prometheus. It's directed by Ridley Scott and while its not a remake or prequel as such to his Alien films it is set in the same universe. It looks good, kind of like classic aliens, not like the crap (in my opinion) Alien Vs Predator stuff.

Just watched it two days ago and loved it- despite some plot holes and bad science it was really enjoyable.

They trailer looks amazing, I keep meaning to go see it so hopefully i'll go soon! I really want to see it.

I saw it last week. Really good atmosphere and characters (Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender were amazing), plus a very gripping story. Quite cringy-gory at parts as well which was good, though the score was a bit of a letdown.

I still think the trailer exposed far too much of the film.

also David really really looked like david bowie

will probably end up downloading it. i have a feeling the only film i'll be paying for in the next couple of months will be the avengers (jesus, why haven't i seen that yet).

The first hour was good and then 20 minutes later everyone was dead. It all escalated quickly and the plot-holes were terrible. Like why did no one care that the woman had assaulted two people, had random stomach staples to cover up some muscles that if you were to have an incision through would cause you to be crippled, and some of the random fluid got into the open wound also, left the creature in the medi-bay thing without checking up on it, which also somehow managed to grow 1000 times larger without food, the engineer somehow managed to make it across the open plain without a suit for air, the two mapping guys somehow got lost even though they had a map (wtf?!), then after being creeped out by the decapitated engineer went back to the chamber they found him outside of, then the captain starts detecting life-forms in the middle of no where and does nothing about it, the engineers left a map to their weapons facility so human's could come and prevent the weapon reaching them, and David spiked the guy's drink for no good reason. Overall pacing was terrible, story was terrible, score was ok at first - then terrible and the only good bits were the visuals really.
