Whats missing?

I have recently opened the following website for sports discussions and general discussions, however i cant help but feel that i am missing something that could attract more people to the site?

My eye's felt like they were in a deep dark place with fire, The red is over appealing.
It was that bright I had to re-look at the page.

I am sorry tbh for the bad feedback But the logo is also very UN-appealing and blurry.

Maybe mix your colors a bit? and don't stick to just Grey, white and red.

I think the layout could use some work - maybe something to make it unique.

The layout isn't the best but you also have tons of spam posts from spam bots.
