What to wear?!

In a few weeks I'm going to a gig then I'm going to town afterwards but I don't know what to wear because
I don't wanna be too dressy for the gig but
I don't wanna be not dressy enough for town afterwards

What can I wear that is sort of in the middle of the two?
Also, are heels too dressy for a gig?

Ummm
What I usually go for is some black skinnies, and a kinda dress/top thing with that. Depending on what type of heels you have, they might suit it, and they might/might not be too dressy for the gig, depending on what type.
