Do you think World Bank should change direction this time and select a president from a developing country? Any thoughts?

Another useless international organisation where failed politicians and friends of politicians go to work & congraulate eachother.

If the World Bank fell from the face of the Earth tommorow, would we notice? I think not.

Not going to lie, I hadn't even heard of the world bank until this news story initially popped up a few months(?) ago. After researching it, it seems like a very pointless institution. Though should there really be a president if it is a world bank? Shouldn't all views be equal? It won't make a difference anyway.

I really hope that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala wins it so she can send emails out to everyone in the world starting with "Hello, I am a wealthy Nigerian banker..."

She's Nigeria's finance minister and managing director of World Bank. She's the best candidate and yet, a silly Korean American doctor was selected as the next president.
