Bunny's neck..?

I know no one is exactly going to be a vet or anything on here but if you've noticed the same thing on your bunny maybe you can help..

Well today one of our bunnys was taken by a dog, he forced the door in and grabbed it by the neck before running off with it. When I managed to get the dog stopped he dropped it and picked it up a few more times before I could grab it back. The rabbit is only 5 weeks old and we've only had it for a few days so it hasn't been interacted with much so I don't know if this was usual for the rabbit. Around it's neck and it's front legs there is like fluid under the skin or something. When you touch the area it moves around under the skin and makes squelchy noises, I've never noticed this in a rabbit but maybe it's because it's still young and it's there for a reason? Or could the dog have punctured something inside her? There was no marks on her skin and no blood anywhere so I'm really unsure. I want to take her to the vets but they'll charge a bomb.
Has anyone ever noticed this or is it unusual??

I really would take her to the vets tbh. Would make me very sad to think that she died just because u didn't want to pay to take her to the vets. Better safe then sorry tbh, as I fear that the dog coulda punctured something inside tbh, worse still could be some infection in there which would be really worying, which could explain the fluid. So Ye just take her to the vets and do pls update us since feel sorry for that rabbit after hearing that ;p ;(

It'll be worth taking her to the vet like Pipette has suggested. I'm sure you'd want her to live a long and fruitful life, and taking her to the vet even after this vet trip for injections and checkups might see her live beyond 10 years old :)

Sounds like a nasty attack, and considering your rabbit is only young it may have done some serious internal damage (although this could have been the case if it wasn't young) so I'd seriously advise you get it examined by a vet. I understand that your worried about costs and stuff but if you leave it untreated he could be in terrible pain for all you know...

keep an eye on her as well as the shock of the attack will slowly make it's way in

Aww the poor thing! You should really take her to the vets, it'll be worth it even if they charge a bomb but at least your rabbit will have more chance of surviving.

It's a vet jobby.. i mean the rabbit is going to be very frightened. x
