It is news. Whats the difference between a war is coming and someone getting hit on the head on stage performing, nothing, because they're both news. It was on "the" news + on news sites, as provided also. ^
Let me rephrase my sentence then, why is this considered "important news" (not directing that at you, at the website). If she was in hospital, fine I'd care more, if she had to undergo life threatening surgery, I'd care more.
