It's still unknown why the Ecotron disappeared but the Pixels were removed due to them never meaning to be a permanent feature for Habbo, they were meant to expire so you would buy things quickly and there was meant to be different items to obtain through them. However, this didn't really happen due to many different reasons thus they were removed. Pixels did bring the introduction of Kuurna furniture which are pixel items that aren't tradeable and were only obtained via the pixel method or by registering a new account and having a ready made set for you. Pixels were set to be removed thus we were promised new items would be available to buy with them, this was correct, we received a new pixel furniture range which was an orange recolour of the Kuurna furniture mentioned earlier. These were obtained with pixels but these were also tradeable too - these are currently selling for about 50-100 per credit so you gain profit with them. Of course since this occurred pixels are now gone. There was also two rares, the Butterfly and Memorial which cost credits and pixels when they were in the catalogue. These are selling for credits now but they're not as popular as some thought.
Also, one of the oldest ranges on Habbo was removed, the Plastic range is no longer available in the catalogue and Habbo boosted promotion for this by having a goodbye plasto period. This included release of rainbow plasto and transparent plasto - black plasto was also available as prizes through the Ecotron. However, you needed to recycle Plasto itself to gain the black plasto (contradiction due to when plasto left it was immediately deemed rare thus sold for more for a while). The Ecotron then was removed and hasn't returned since. Not only that but before it left [Ecotron] some prizes were scrapped and it was easier to obtain the Eco Mushroom 2 (the Fairy Mushroom).
Habbo have started releasing these new types of rares - Limited Edition ones whereby there are only a set amount on sale and when they're sold out they would never be sold via the catalogue again. Some worked well such as the Rainbow Pod Chair and the Black Dino Egg but others such as the Red Theatre Curtain, Caterpillar and Executive Drinks Cabinet failed to sell out! These ranged in value from 50 credits to 200 credits depending on how much players wanted the rare. Reiterating that there was a limited amount the lowest was 200 available with the highest being 2000.
We got a different variety of new games such as Fast Food which is played via the client and isn't in a user based room like most of the others. Battle Ball was renamed Battle Banzai and was brought out as a player room game therefore you can create your own arena and host your own games. Firstly, the game Freeze! was supposedly the alternative to SnowStorm as you threw snowballs and froze the other player, but this was over once SnowStom Shuffle came to the hotel - just like the old one but with three different layouts and achievements with it. Other games include Football, Snowboarding, Bunny Run, Ice Tag, Roller Skating and Puzzle box approx. Also, recently, KickWars returned under the new name KickWars Galactica - this can't be played in your own room but a staff room under the name AirBlender, you can win various items such as the Astro Bar, Warp Reactor - it's odd to say that they wouldn't give out/release collectibles again but since then they have given out the Big Ben, Astro Bar and Dizziti. Also with the KickWars game you can submit your own badge design and it may appear on the client for players to win, you need to find one of three prize rooms for KickWars and you can only win from each one per day. Also, due to the various badge designs you can win different ones too!
Also, linking back to pixels being removed it also meant that effects were too, this was sorted out by a room by AirBlender again and you receive a free daily effect just by visiting it, this helps with quests and stuff too!
We have more pets as said before, the most recent edition was a new breed of cat but before we had pidgeons (a recoloured version of the chick), chicks, dragons, frogs, turtles etc. so it's more like a zoo now as opposed to a pets section.
Wired furniture was a move forward for Habbo, they're great items of furniture - they're not tradeable so can't be sold on but you can set it up so that if you say a keyword you'll teleport to somewhere that it's set upto. It's brought a whole new level to mazes and games.
Old news articles from Habbo are no more, due to the new homepage you have when you log in it proved impossible to include the articles and Habbo also wanted to work on the technical side - this just made the staff less community and more technology. We can only really contact staff via Twitter, Facebook or the help tool.
Offers have been introduced too, whereby you can buy five of an item in the catalogue then get the 6th free and such. So if you bought 99 of an item for 1c per you'd only end up paying 67c approx. which is good when you like bulk buying and it helps when good ranges come into the catalogue.
That will do.
