So in just over 6 weeks I'm getting braces so I won't have ****** up teeth anymore
I'm just wondering on a scale from 1-10 how painful they are

Well it depends how much your teeth need changing really and the pain varies from person to person. I found my braces agonising for a good five days after I'd got them in last February and another two weeks before I could shut my mouth properly. Despite what people say, you should have no problems talking at all until you get elastics put in (if you do at all).
For the first two days after you've had them in, I suggest you plan with your parents/whoever does the cooking in your household to cook things like cottage pie, soup, and other soft things that need barely any chewing. Also make sure to follow the orthodontist's advice exactly and brush brush brush them to stop your teeth getting stained round the edges.
Oh and also you should probably stock up on paracetamol/ibuprofen and take them as often as the label lets you. Especially for night times.
ER that sounded really negative. Hakuna matata abi!! It gets better after a week or so and the longer you have them, the less they hurt after getting them tightened and things!!! Good luck :)
10 when you get them tightened
I had to have my four out!! Getting braces was NOTHING compared to that. To be fair, they were adult molars, though, the second most difficult teeth after your wisdoms ;/ I had a panic attack after getting them out lol and wouldn't eat for four days straight.
I hope you enjoy yourself
Are you serious? Omg ;(
I've already had one of my adult molars taken out due to infection (I had 6 injections in my gum and could still feel immense pain) and I have to have the same molar on each side of the top and bottom of my mouth taken out at the same time pmsl oh goody these next 6 weeks are going to brilliant :L
At first you'll think its not so bad, but after a few hours they'll really start to hurt and you wont be able to chew on them. After a few days you should be ok to eat, although they advise you stay away from hard foods. The only other time they should hurt is when you have them tightened.
YEAH cos I panicked when he got out that huge pair of pliers and just clamped them round my tooth :( he said I was the first patient he'd ever had who didn't panic BUT THAT'S COS I WAS TOO SHOCKED the mad + uncontrollable shaking, tears and wriggling didn't kick in till I got home.
Plus I think it was worse cos one of my teeth broke in half so he had to do it twice.
DID YOUR SALIVA GO RED AFTER YOU HAD YOUR TOOTH TAKEN OUT OR WAS IT JUST ME PLS
