Do you say thank you to the bus driver?

I say thanks on small buses if it isn't packed because I know the driver will actually be able to hear me, but on large buses I don't because there is too many people for the driver to hear! I also don't say thanks to bus drivers who drive like ***** :)

I live in London and generally most people don't say thanks unless it's one of the last stops on the route
