Probably will as habbopalooza (a music campaign) being advertised on a music site should work its magic and be very intriguing to the viewers of that site who don't use adblock :P
PopJustice also advertised habbopalooza the other week aswell, and that's a fairly popular site.
I think it's worth it and sure it would get more users. I am sure most advertising does
