So just came across this new channel on YouTube, called "Give Back Films". They basically give relatively substantial sums of cash to people who they think deserve it, or just as a treat.
However, the money they will inevitably make out of doing this is pretty impressive (first three videos total views = 2,993,945). Channel started a couple of weeks ago. Check them out.

yeah when LAHWF did it I thought it's a pretty good idea since you wouldn't lose any money if you got enough views
regardless of their reason for doing it, they're providing great content as entertainment and the people in the videos are benefiting
it's similar to those competition websites that to enter the competition you have to watch an ad then one person wins the prize
That really is quite clever. I'll give them all a watch now.
