One Night Stands.

Everyone seems to have their own definition of what they would class as a one night stand.
I think the most popular one is taking someone home from a club, sleeping with them and then not talking to them again.

So, what do you think makes a one night stand a one night stand?

do you have to have sexual intercourse with them for it to class or just foreplay / sexual activities?
does it count if you talk to them after, although this may be for a few days after / you become friends?
does it have to be on a night out or does it class if you just hang out and it happens?
do you have to be drunk for it to class?


have you ever had one?
do you regret it?
would you do it again?

In my mind one night stand is having any sort of sexual activity with someone you're not with or intend to be with, not very clear but yeah

Like if you go have sex with someone, even if you knew them before and didn't plan to get with them, so even if you spoke to them again in a few days but had no intention of getting in a relationship with them or continue seeing them in that sense.

So just any one off sexual encounter really whether it someone you've known or not, or someone you'll see in future or not.

I'd like to class it as any sexual activity, but because there's already definition it's pretty much limited to actually having sex, so *REMOVED* etc wouldn't count (although in my mind would probably view that as one night stand tbh)

It counts if you talk to them after or if you become friends.
It doesn't need to be on a night out, one night stand doesn't depend on what you were doing before it really.
You don't have to be drunk lol

I've never had one, so can't regret it and would never have one.

i'd consider it where you sleep with the person just once

i don't think i've ever slept with someone without even the tiniest bit of contact afterwards, but it doesn't matter to me even if i knew the person before i slept with them, and then never slept with them again i'd consider that a one night stand. i wouldn't consider any sort of foreplay a ONS though, only if actual sex was involved

yeah i've had a few and i don't see anything wrong with it

having sex with someone you don't know. just find it weird and wouldn't do it. i think it would count even if you talk to them after and if a friendship develops it would still have been a 1night stand. much prefer to actually get to know someone before anything else happens.

Tends to mean full on intercourse but that's prob because you don't often go home with someone just hoping for a handy and a cuddle so could be other stuff I guess if it just doesn't escalate for some reason. I don't think I've ever had a zero-contact response after getting with someone but there have been people I've only been in once

Drunk - club - take them home and have sex (doesn't really matter if you know them or not as long as you haven't had any sexual contact with them before). Oh and I would say with just one girl too.. If there's more then one then I wouldn't count it.

That's what I class as a one night stand.

I would say a one night stand is doing anything sexual with someone you've just met

I don't think there's anything wrong with having one at all

idk a true one to me would be going home with someone you've just met and having sex then NEVER talking to them again lol
by that definition i haven't had one n wouldn't regret it if i did because wouldn't be upset they didn't want a relationship afterwards cause id have no relation with them. slept w/ friends once n not regretted cause we knew where we stood with each other n was just bit of fun n giggles for both involved
only time id regret is if i was hurting others in the process. with like a holiday one night stand u don't rly ask about their partners etc whereas if it's someone u know n knew they had a gf or found out later would be diff story
