Basically his trackpad keeps freezing, he can click but can't move his cursor and his laptop is fairly new too. He can also type it's just moving the cursor/using trackpad that's the problem!!
He uses windows 8 if that's any help too ~~~

I have to keep restarting my laptop to fix the mouse. It's nothing to do with accidently turning the mouse of either. Please help me, why does my mouse keep randomly freezing? I can still click but can't move the actual mouse. Sometimes I have to restart my laptop, other times it fixes itself after 5 minutes or less.
I don't have any actual mouses, plus I don't really have a table or flat surface to use one on. And I want to fix my touchpad mousepad whatever it's called anyway :(.
Driver issue? You say it's new, can't you contact the makers of the laptop?
playing too much ping pong! you'll need to stop playing! karma for beating me.
i always find the mouse on laptops annoying anyway, I agree with Matt, if it's faulty, you should be able to get it sorted out because it's new. In the meantime though, you could buy a mouse and just use the kitchen table. that's what I do when I'm on the laptop.
I've made a thread on their support thing a while ago, I hope it isn't an issue where I have send my laptop away or get someone out to fix it. But if it comes to that it comes to that. thms just made this thread while my mouse was froze to see if anyone knew how to fix it :(.
