How do you view Christmas? [Multiple choice]

A simple question, how do you view Christmas? Obviously when younger you view it mainly or even purely in present/gift terms, but I have found as I have got older that the meaning of it has changed for me a lot. So vote in the poll [multiple choice] and explain below how you view it, the importance (if any) and if it's changed in anyway for you.

I view it a lot more in a religious way nowadays (a former atheist/agnostic) and especially emphasis on family with grandparents getting older. Less so but being away at university I love going back home to see friends and I love our annual tradition of going the pub by our old school on Christmas Eve.

I'm religious and past few years have been at Church for mass as well on Christmas Eve so to me that's important to me & also family, especially with my grandad seriously ill so close to Christmas. We've been told his internal organs seem to be shutting down, so to me I'd be happy with no presents as long as I have my family around me safe & healthy. The most enjoyable part of Christmas for me is spending time with my family, having a laugh. watching old films, pulling crackers and telling old funny stories.

We aren't religious or in to shopping that much.

I voted for family and giving/receiving presents. When I was younger it was all about getting the most presents I possibly could but now I get quite self-conscious if other people watch me open a gift they got for me. I really like buying other people presents and love spending time thinking about what they'd like, browsing through the market in town or looking through pages and pages of results for things they'd like online.

Giving an receiving gifts is the most stressful thing ever about Christmas

I don't really see it as any of the things on the poll so I guess other.

It's just another day to me - it's just a pain to go get presents for everyone. Just a big ploy for us to spend more money.

It's become much less about presents over the years. Now I mainly see it as a time where I have to make awkward conversation with family I infrequently see, but it's also a time which I can look forward to a nice break from doing work.

i was in a rush but honestly christmas is just another day for me
we're not religious, we're not a close family, on christmas we might spend about 3 hours together due to family obligations on christmas eve and then christmas dinner, we're not really into exchanging gifts

i do enjoy christmas though, i like the atmosphere in my city and christmas songs/film
