Do you buy food or drink if you go into town?

A simple question, do you buy food or drink when you go into the town or city centre?

Years ago people didn't really eat out and used to have dinner and drinks before they left the house to go into town and waited until they got back... but in recent years our city and town centres have seen an explosion in eating and drinking out and I wondered if HxF'ers follow the trend too?

I did start doing this and still sometimes do, but it really does waste money I noticed so I made an effort to cut back and i'll never really buy a drink when out in town or even food... unless we've specifically had in mind going to a restaurant or if we end up going for a few bevvys.
