I saw someone, probably someone who eats meat, on my Facebook absolutely OUTRAGED at this.

It's a ******* bunny. I am so sick of western grown babies crying over stuff like this. The hypocrisy of it all is the worst thing. I have said before that I think children in inner city primaries should be taken to see slaughter of animals when young so when they are in their late teens or young adults, we're not a nation of complete and utter pansies who break down when they see a farm animal being turned into a tasty burger. Get a grip.

Imagine this country fighting a war like World War I & II again. Half the country's men would breakdown at having their conditioned £25 Voodoo haircut shaved off.

wtf that sky news woman is such a cow news presenters like her are meant to be impartial. WHAT ABOUT TASTE AND DECENCY? sort yourself out woman. This is almost exactly how rabbits are killed when hunted and is completely painless. People are bloody hypocrites.

I understand the point and all, but it seems a bit unnecessary, until they intended to eat it? Pointless death, otherwise.

EDIT: Still a fairly inhumane death compared to British standards. Clubbing an animal to death is harsh.

I don't eat rabbits. I used to own one but i gave it away to my little cousin. Just a few words; Outrageous, sad, pissed. Why kill it on live radio? That is so unnecessary. What have the poor baby rabbit done to him to deserve such treatment?!

A knock on the head if accurate and hard enough is a killer blow.

It's what we do when we catch fish or want to kill rodents like rats (hit with a shovel or broom).

It's a rabbit.

It had a good life and ended up as a tasty meal.

I don't eat rabbit but that's just because it's a bit tough and not that great a meat. There is literally no problem with this; it was killed not only for the purpose of this social experiment but also to provide for one of the staff - him buying it from the supermarket instead would be no different at all

Possibly most humane of all methods actually. Some hunters snap the necks which can cause extreme suffering because the brain is still active, a trauma to the head will shut the brain off entirely and kill the animal instantly.
