Saudi Arabia has sent troops and fighter jets to a Turkish military base ahead of a possible ground invasion of Syria.

All the Middle Eastern countries are horrific to back but if I had to back an alliance here, it is Assad and Putin.
Thankfully Assad is pulling it back now and his forces have encircled the city of Aleppo. The big danger though which the Saudi's are well aware of is if they do get involved, then Iran will almost certainly send ground troops and you'll have all-out war between the regions two main powers: Saudi and Iran.
