running into old friends
have you ever ran into old friends you haven't been friends with for literally ages and it's the most awkward and horrifying experience ever? there's a funfair on literally over the road from my house and i went the shop and ran into about 8 people in the shop and i didn't realise it was even them until i walked past one and she literally said "oh" as i walked past her and then i just knew who it was and died inside. then i seen two more who were my best friends but we had a BIIiiiggg falling out over them accusing me of being a bully which was cute X so it was awkward to say the least
do you guys and gals ever experience this
-
no, i don't live in the same town I was brought up in.
wouldn't be awkward if I did though tbh.
-
virtually every single old friend i have is still my friend and i see weekly/every few weeks so it's not awkward
-
I live pretty far from my high school to not bump into any of them. And even if I did I doubt the majority would start chatting to me we'd probably just walk past eachother and avoid eye contact haha
Then I live in the same place as my old primary school but I was only there til yr 2 so even tho i occasionally do see a few people from there there's no convo again cos we basically dunno eachother !
-
usually just exchange an awkward smile and continue our seperate ways if i ever pass someone from my high school in public, i've kept in good contact with the people i was closest to so when i see them it's usually planned

Very rare I see people now but when I do it's like yeah, don't notice me please. Used to hate going into Tesco as quite a few of them used to work there.

Yesterday someone walked into work who I havent seen in 13 years. Thst was a bit strange and we both recognised each other.

Surprisingly I do see quite a lot of people I knew from high school or earlier in my life around which is crazy because I lived in NZ and now live in London but it's funny had I seen them in NZ I would just blank them but because we are on the other side of the world it's more often nice to chat and catch up.

just ignore each other or wave

I saw my friend from for the first time in like a year and a half and I was so nervous about going because I thought itd be awkward but it turned out to be fine!
I have seen a few former friends but I just ignore them.
