Could A Robot or Computer Do Your Job?

Read an article in a magazine recently about the comparisons in technology and jobs now compared to 50 years ago.

Most answers would be an automatic "No!", but have a think about it.

In fact, the more you think about it, the more you realise how redundant humans are becoming. Maybe not today, but in the near future.

In fact, the only jobs I can think of that can't be replaced are ones that require some kind of free thinking or public interaction.

Could your job be taken over by a robot or a computer? Maybe even partly?

In my field of construction, I guess it can be partly taken over by making our lives easier, but not completely. Anyone expect robots/computers to build 10 storey buildings? :P

Depends how advanced they are, if they can self manage/manage other infrastructures and networks then I guess so.

Probably yes it wouldnt even need to be advanced since my life doesnt involve anything too difficult :P

I'm a property accountant dealing with service charge - if it was that simple, then yes.

However there are many different factors and variables which make it more of a human role - but give it time and a robot would probably be able to deal with that too.

Probably given enough time. No where near that stage at the moment though.
