— Boris Johnson (@BorisJohnson) December 24, 2020Nigel Farage has declared the “war is over” in a pre-emptive endorsement of the #BrexitDeal that the PM is expected to announce imminently https://t.co/7IiYbeSld1
— The Telegraph (@Telegraph) December 24, 2020It also restores Britain's sovereignty in full. EU law ceases to apply; the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice ends; there is no alignment with EU rules; and our Parliament sets all laws for our country once again.

We'll simply have "fair competition" similar to a standard FTA signed under WTO terms. It's good to end a difficult year with some positive news. Trade deal is very welcome - and a vital step in building a new relationship with the EU as friends, neighbours and partners. Many congratulations to the UK negotiating team.
— David Cameron (@David_Cameron) December 24, 2020Very welcome news that the UK & EU have reached agreement on the terms of a deal - one that provides confidence to business and helps keep trade flowing. Looking forward to seeing the detail in the coming days.
— Theresa May (@theresa_may) December 24, 2020Deal or no deal, there is not one thing that the EU has said or done over the past four and a half years that has ever made me doubt, even for a nano-second, that I made 100% the right decision in voting for Brexit in 2016. On the contrary, they've confirmed just how right I was. pic.twitter.com/2MMn1IbzBd

It does seem to fulfil pretty much all of what I wanted in terms of sovereignty so a cautious well done from me. The fish compromise is an issue however. I'm sure we'll have a clearer picture the next few days as more details emerge. That said, even the worst version of this is better than EU membership.
If Farage seems to be able to swallow it and if the ERG can after they have met to go through the details, then it is good enough for me.
Like we said back during the referendum, friends with Europe but not governed by Europe. It does look like we've taken back control.
