First person in UK dies from(?)/with(?) Omicron
One Omicron death (though sad) against 50,000 pending preventable deaths from undiagnosed cancers.

And that number will be bigger as medics are diverted to the booster campaign.
Has our country lost its mind?“There are 200,000 Omicron infections a day.”

“Correction: There are 200,000 cases of Omicron in total.”
“Correction: There are 200,000 Covid infections a day, 20% of which are Omicron.”
“Correction: Our model reckons there were 200,000 Covid infections today.”
What a shower.
So the first person has died. 1 person out of a population of 70 million, and the government is suspending civil liberties and threatening to suspend more.
Now a few questions for this government that will probably go unanswered are:
1. How old was this person?
2. Did this person have any co-morbidities?
3. Did this person die from Covid-19 or did they die with Covid-19?
The reason we probably won't have any answers from the government on this is because, as the statistics reflect, the vast majority of people who have died from Covid-19 are those in their 80s and 90s above the life expectancy age and who have significant co-morbidities such as hypertension and dementia.
We also likely won't be given an answer as to whether this person's cause of death was down to Covid-19 itself or a co-morbidity.
And yet, the government is suspending your civil liberties, ruining businesses and causing cancer deaths... over this. 1 death with no details. Astounding.
