The Prince and Princess of Wales to visit Australia next summer
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who visited The King in Balmoral Castle two days ago for an audience, has extended an invite for a royal visit down under after the King and Queen's successful tour in late 2024
This will be quite a big royal tour, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis expected to go. The last time they visited was in 2014 as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and it could well be the case that the time after next they will be visiting as the King and Queen of Australia.
PM Albanese also again ruled out any second referendum on the Australian monarchy. Like I said before, no chance now - republicans down under had been hoping that the death of Queen Elizabeth II would shift things in their favour, but it hasnt.
