i have a feeling if they don't win this game, they won't win the series. don't know why, just do. aussies should have won the first test and didn't. i just hope england can take the initiative and get a 1-0 lead.

Agree with you completely here Jake, in all honesty after our performance at Cardiff I was doubtful we'd win the series. In all honesty after our first innings I was quite appalled at certain of our "good" batsmen... but I fully agree, if we don't win here we don't have a chance really.
Australia can win, although its probably not going to happen as making over 200 runs on Day 5 is really hard with only 5 wickets. Would love to see them win though.
I really do think England should have batted this morning, and taken all the risks, and tried to get a 600 run lead instead. Although a 522 lead is good, its not impossible to achieve. I think there was a very similar test earlier this year, around January/February I think, where a team thought they had set a very good and impossible to get target and got beaten.
Watching a team play for 7 days, its not hard to tell which is the better team.
Well you must be watching a different game of cricket.
Australia have played worse at Lords than England did at Cardiff.
Totally agree with you Invincible, which means England must be the best team so far... he must have been watching a different test match.
In all fairness the first innings of this match England played a bit crap tbh, it was a combination of Australia being crap & England bowling well that saved it for them.
I think Strauss made the right decision not to follow on, I just hope we can get them all out tomorrow, as 200 runs in a day is a good target, today we made the error of letting Haddin & Clarke form a strong partnership, we need to take Clarke's wicket before they reform this tomorrow.
If we take both of the current wickets by lunch we should be fine, hopefully rain won't intervene much. England play well in morning sessions so fingers crossed we could have them all out by lunch.
In terms of which team deserve to win, at the moment as far as I'm concerned we haven't seen any brilliant cricket apart from the England tail-enders saving the test at Cardiff, now that was pure brilliance.
Both England & Australia have shown faults at both tests so far, I really hope England don't muck up tomorrow, be good to make history!
i hope the weather ***** you guys over like it ****** us over :eusa_wall
But they are not doing so bad in the 2nd innings :)
Overall, Australia's performance has been better.
TheWolf, you thought England had practically won, maybe you are the one who is watching a different game as right now England are pretty much ******** themselves.
Haha Blinger, yep, rain ruined it for Aussies last time so it would be funny if it does it for England this time :) Love to see their desperation.
After watching cricket for 14 years, you kind of get good at knowing who is doing better by watching 7 days of cricket - which is alot.

Anyway, if Aussies do lose a wicket in the first 90 minutes, it would be extremely hard for them to win it. If they make another 100 runs without losing a wicket (which is extremely hard) then they are in for a chance.
