I don't think they said to avoid maintenance, I think it was to avoid lag.. but all the maintenances are getting quite annoying, and the BP Oil Spill homepage competition is being postponed - you can't put an entry in now, but the winners are being held in suspense.. There wasn't THAT many homepage's to actually judge.

Probably because our time is the closest to Finnish time, assuming that all updates are headed from the HQ.
