Quite a few og his records on wwe.com have been deleted, including the news on his tribute show. wwe.com is down at the moment which in my opinion means there deleting all traces of him.
But as below I do think he was fueled by something, what what we will probobly never know.

Smackdown taping results*Spoilers* 6/26/07
Thanks very much to Ed in San Antonio for these updates.
There are tons of Benoit signs in the building.
Chuck Palumbo beat Kenny Doane in the dark match. Decent heat, and the crowd got into it at the end.
Cole and JBL were booed.
Ric Flair and Carlito are having a match and getting a lot of time. Flair won with the figure four in a good match. Flair was on fire.
Edge vs. Big Dave will be the main event.
Matt Hardy vs. Lance Cade. Matt won with the twist of fate in a good match.
Chavo Guerrero vs. Jamie Noble vs. Funaki. Chavo is getting cheered loudly. He won with the Gori bomb in a good match.
They actually did an angle backstage with Vickie Guerrero. Something about how Dave vs. Edge was going to take place even though they were never supposed to wrestle again, but it wouldn't be a title match.
Deuce and Domino beat Cryme Tyme. Not horrible. Cryme Tyme told the car afterwards and are going to strip it at the Brisco Brothers' auto shop.
MVP cut a promo on Tony Parker of the Spurs.
Kane beat MVP with the chokeslam. All matches are getting time.
They did a skit with Great Khali and Eugene. Then they did another one that involved Vickie, I believe Mickie, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and the fat oily guy. Basically a way to get Ron Simmons there to go, "DAMN!"
Mickey beat Victoria after missing a moonsault. Not bad.
Eugene vs. Great Khali. Khali won in a minute.
Batista beat Edge clean with the spear in a long match. Good stuff.
Almost all Benoit signs have been confiscated since the show began.
A more detailed report..
I have had the fortunate opportunity to see live a large number of WWE
PPV's, house shows, and televised events. The atmosphere at tonight's
Smackdown/ECW taping in San Antonio was, to say the least, uneasy. The arena had been
announced as sold out in advance, but there was no way the venue was more than
2/3 full, not including the upper portion on the off-camera side that was
curtained off. Absolutely no mention of Benoit or his family. Unfortunately,
if you're going to be tuning in to Smackdown for quality wrestling, you'll be
sadly disappointed. The cross-brand matches that were introduced on ECW on
Tuesday continued to be the theme of Smackdown. I wouldn't be surprised if
these matches were some of the scheduled matches for the cancelled Corpus
Christi RAW show. Unfortunately, nothing delivered anything close to a home run
in Smackdown. I could have picked a better match card out of my ***, even
with only one day's notice. Here's a complete rundown of the match card.
DARK MATCH
Chuck Palumbo def. Kenny Dykstra by pinfall. Palumbo continues to try out
his biker gimmick, and it seems to be slowly getting over. Finish came when
Palumbo turned an over-the-shoulder backbreaker into a cutter for the pinfall.
SMACKDOWN MATCHES
Batista vs. Edge is announced as the main event of the evening.
Ric Flair def. Carlito by submission. Standard back and forth match, finish
came when Carlito BADLY missed a dropkick (he practically stuck his leg out
for Flair to catch), allowing Flair to counter into the figure four. Carlito
reached the ropes, but Flair pulled Carlito back into the middle of the
ring, dropped a few shots on the knee, and re-applied the figure four for the win.
Matt Hardy def. Lance Cade by pinfall. Matt Hardy had the second-biggest
face pop of the night, second only to Batista. Hardy hits the Twist of Fate to
gain the pinfall on Cade.
Still pictures of the Batista-Edge match from Vengeance are shown, reminding
us of the main event tonight. This would happen a few more times during the
night.
Chavo Guerrero def. Jamie Noble and Funaki by pinfall in a Triple Threat
match to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Title. Can someone remind me when the
heck did either Noble or Funaki earn a title shot? And why wasn't Jimmy Wang
Yang even in the mix? Chavo actually got a few face chants in Texas, and
eventually scored the win with a Gory Bomb on Funaki.
Edge is backstage with Vickie Guerrero in Teddy Long's office. Long isn't
in the house tonight, and Edge threatens not to participate in the match at
all. Vickie assures Edge that the match tonight is non-title (anyone want to
take bets yet on who wins?), and Edge accepts but is officially under protest.
The two hillbillies are coming to Smackdown soon. Can't wait to miss them.
Deuce & Domino (w/ Cherry) def. Cryme Tyme by pinfall. JTG played the face
in peril for most of the match. Shad Gaspar cleans house for a while, until
Cherry distracts the ref as Cryme Tyme attempt their neckbreaker combo
finisher. Domino low-bridges JTG outside of the ring, allowing Deuce to roll-up
Gaspar with a handful of jeans for the win. After the match, Deuce & Domino
stayed in the ring to celebrate, but the camera cut backstage to Cryme Tyme
discovering the unguarded car that Deuce & Domino drove out to the ring. Cryme
Tyme hotwires the car and takes off, as the heels take off in pursuit on foot.
Kane def. MVP by pinfall. MVP takes a chapter out of "How To Win Friends
And Influence People" by saying he's a better baller than either Tim Duncan or
Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs. Instant over-the-top heel heat. Kane
pretty much dominated most of the match with his power. MVP stunned Kane in
the corner and went for his running kick, but Kane caught the boot coming in.
It also got MVP off balance to where Kane quickly planted the chokeslam to
get the win.
Mickie James and Victoria are talking backstage as to who is the better Diva
of them. James challenges Victoria to kiss the next man who walks through
the door. Howard Finkel comes in, and walks past the ladies, as Victoria
states that she wasn't warmed up yet. Next man through the door is Hacksaw Jim
Duggan. He walks through the doorway past the ladies, as Victoria complains
that Duggan was going too fast to kiss. Victoria then challenges Mickie James
to try it herself. The doorway opens to - Oily Fat Guy. Fortunately for
Mickie, he is cut off by Ron Simmons who gets through the doorway first and
gets a wet kiss from Mickie. Oily Fat Guy does his dance for Simmons, getting
the requisite response -- DAMN!
Mickie James def. Victoria by pinfall. Victoria misses a moonsault,
allowing Mickie to roll her up for the pin.
Eugene is backstage, preparing for his match. His opponent, The Great
Khali, enters. His interpreter promises Eugene that this match will be fun.
Great Khali def. Eugene by pinfall. Chop to the head, choke bomb, pinfall.
Thank God I didn't have to watch Khali in the ring for more than 30 seconds.
Batista def. Edge by pinfall. The two biggest pyros in the WWE face off.
Decent matchup, but everyone in the building knew the ending before it
happened. Batista countered one spear into a spinebuster, the second spear attempt
was countered by a well-timed leapfrog to where Edge's head wound up between
Batista's legs, setting Edge up for the Batista Bomb, and the victory for
Batista.
Since when did vince mcmahon revive... Can somone pm me a link or something giving me info :P

How's it dumb? Why would WWE wanna' be involved with a potential murderer?
WWE don't need another band-wagon of people having a *Removed* fit because they're potentially making money via merchendise or other sales relating to Chris Benoit.. who at the moment, isn't really got a good image for himself.
If he had just died & nothing else.. then yes, they would continue the sale of his merchendise.. but as hes a most-probable murderer.. doesn't really convey a positive image to the media or the general public for that matter.
Edited by Youheard (Forum Super Moderator): Please do not avoid the filter.

Brody
because they post all the news about it
then just completely remove it which is just dumb since people mite be looking at the site to find out whats been going on as it does have to do with the wwe as he was a wrestler for the wwe so i thought they would at least keep the news about him and the murder until it is proven he done it
28-06-2007, 09:17 PM
Hoodstar
News about it is going to be on American News Channels. Fox, NBC ect.. as it's a murder investigation.. it wouldn't be over-looked by American media just because it's about wrestling. So WWE aren't really pushed to report the findings of the investigation & are more likely concentrate on their storylines.. which I think they're trying to get people focused on again, rather then Benoits recent happenings.
So people won't be struggling to find out whats going on as I'd say at least 10 websites will be offering news about the incident.
Again.. the guy is a potential murderer & I know all that, "innocent until proven guilty" stuff. But the vibes from the reports about this case already have given a strong feeling that Benoit was the prime suspect behind it all. People aren't so rational & would rather believe what they're told by News Stations then take a step back & have a " I'll wait til' everythings proven " view.
A majority of the people.. I'd say roughly 80/5% believe it was all him. Thats a mass majority. A majority which WWE don't want in uproar because WWE are trying to benefit or associate themselves with Benoit by continuing the selling of his merchendise or refererring to him constantly on their site.
I think they're more concered about getting people back on track with WWE storylines rather then focusing on a case that could last for months upon months.

Friday Night Smackdown Results! *Spoiler* [06/07/2007]
Smackdown kicks off with a very good match (non-title) between MVP and Matt Hardy. I enjoyed it a lot. Hardy got the win with the twist of fate, meaning he'll probably get a title shot at the GAB.
Backstage segment with Teddy, Kristal, Vickie, and Edge. Edge informs Teddy hes not wrestling tonight. Teddy says he understands his situation, because Kristal has been running him ragged with all the wedding preperations. So he says instead Edge can have his little talk show that he does, and he will have the biggest superstar he's ever had on the show. Teddy dosent tell Edge who it is, as Kristal informs Teddy its time to go.
Chris Masters beats Jimmy Wang Yang with the Masterlock. Khali comes out after the match and attacks Yang. He then gets a mic and talks. His translator says Khali is issuing an open challenge for the GAB. No one came out.
The Major Brothers beat Jobbers (aka PCW's "Main Event" Mike Foxx and "The Fire" Jeremy Young). Majors won pretty quickly. There were more chants for the locally known Foxx then there were for the Majors.
Rey Mysterio return Vignette.
Daltons vignette.
Finlay beats Ric Flair. I liked this match a lot as well. Flair had Finlay in the Figure Four, Hornswoggle comes from under the ring, but Flair sees him and chops him. The ref is trying to get Hornswoggle out of the ring and dosent see Finlay get the shillaliegh and hit Flair in the knee with it. Finlay then puts Flair in almost a figure four like submission for the win.
Backstage Khali picks on some stage hand. The translator talks to Khali in his language and then to the stage hand, asking the guy if he wants to take Khali's open challenge. The guy ends up being pushed into the wall by Khali. Khali does this AWESOME laugh for like 30 seconds and then goes right back to SERIOUS FACE. It is GOLD. You all will love it!!
Biker Chuck Palumbo beats Kenny Dykstra. This MAY have been a dark match, it was hard to tell. But Palumbo came out right by me on his bike. I was watching them get D&D's car ready right next to us during this match.
D&D come out, funny moment when Domino stops the car. He accidently hits the gas again or maybe the clutch because the car jumps and Cherry almost falls over as she was getting out at the time, as was Deuce. The match was Deuce vs. Eugene. Khali comes out again. Deuce has Eugene in a chin lock and dosent see Khali coming. Deuce gets up and is met with a BRAIN CHOP. Domino then throws Eugene back in the ring. Khali gives him the Choke Bomb.
The translator says it looks like nobody wants to take Khali's challenge. Batista's music hits, and he comes into the ring. Takes off his jacket and shirt and gets in Khali's face. Translator makes Khali leave as Batista stares him down.
Cutting Edge, the guest is Kane. Edge runs down Kane's accomplishments and trys to end the show early, saying their out of time. Kane gets the mic and informs Edge that he dosent like him. Kane then kicks Edge's ***. Edge on the floor gets a mic and says Kane can NEVER be on the Cutting Edge again!! He also says Kane can never be in the ring with him again. Que Teddy, who informs Edge that Kane is his opponent at the GAB.
As they were changing the sets, JBL was leaving and Hornswoggle comes from under the ring and chases him to the back! Great moment.
As for Raw. We gave JR a hard time as usual when he came out with the Longhorn hand signs and chants.
Beat the Clock was fun. I marked for Super Crazy's suprise win, eventhough I wanted Kennedy to get the title shot. Oh well.
I booed Lashley all night, until the spear on Cena. I marked for that. As Lashley is leaving, he comes RIGHT to where we are and high fives fans.
Triple H return vignette got a huge pop in the arena.
Small mark out moment seeing Val Venis come out. Big suprise there.

Liked posted earlier USA wants RAW to be on for 3 hours with Austin and Taker as mainstays whether or not they can perform in the ring.
Vince felt his "death" angle would've been one to change the landscape of professional wrestling forever, and was really into it. The end would've resulted in Vince having "faked" his death and the reason is so the wrestler who killed him "Got the rub" for having murdered Vince. Kennedy was the main wrestler they thought about giving the role to.
The Orton vs. HHH match for Summerslam is in jeopardy. Triple H is pushing for Orton to beat John Cena for the world title, saying Cena doesn't need it and it would be better for a chase then to be champion. Plus less boos, because the resentment from the fans would be gone. HHH says if Orton wins the belt (As he wants now), and he beats him in his return match at SummerSlam, he feels it would kill the biggest heel on RAW, so he's against the match. So the feeling is Orton vs, HHH for either Suvivor Series or Wrestlemania
Vince wants a more UFC style, but the problem is he doesn't understand how UFC really works. And his innercicle, Hayes, Anderson, Finlay and Patterson are all 70/80s wrestlers who never seen UFC so don't know how finishes should look. So you end up with finishes like Mark Henry's bearhug being used to end a match.
The Great American Bash Mainevents scheduled are: John Cena vs. Bobby Lashley for the WWE title and Edge vs. Rey Mysterio jr for the Smackdown title
WrestleMania 25 is down to either Skydome in Houston or Toronto Dome in Canada
The new thing with the referees in matches are, before the show the refs are assigned to certain matches and told their specific results. But at the last minute, the WWE tells them there's been a change, and they switch refs. This way the refs are now calling matches they don't know the results for. This happened during the ECW show when they called for a DQ when that wasn't the original result. At the end of the match the ref went back stage and started apologizing. Dean Malenko cut him off and said "Don't apologize, you did the right thing". And Marcus Cor Von, Burke, Punk and Benoit got in trouble for not doing the proper finish. A new rule is that in tag matches, teams are only allowed one save per match without a tag. If they do it a second time, it's an automatic DQ and refs HAVE to enforce it.

I Mean Like Off All Them They Could Of Picked For Storyline (Minus Taker Because Of Injury) They Pick Kane. I Am Sooo Hoping For Mysterio Vs. Chavo For Cruiser At The GAB.
TBH My Views On The "Kane" Storyline Is That Edge Will Retain, They Keep Batteling Till Taker Is Ok Then They Have Some 2 Vs. 1 Thing With Brothers Of Desctruction Vs. Edge Then They Fight Each Other Then Winner Vs. Edge, Then Batista Wins, They Mysterio Whips Everyones Butt Gets A Title Shot And Loses. Anything To Add Anyone?

Obviously Batista will pull it off & prove that Khali is beatable and Batista is still an "Animal"
aload of b/s IMO.
The Kane v Edge angle is just another sorry detour for the WWE, with most of SD's main eventers hitting up Raw these days & with Taker injured.. they ain't got much to run on til' Mysterio comes back (@ TGAB). This'll just be another no-hoper & will end up Edge sonning Kane's *** and then Kane returning to mid-card action against kids like Kenny Dykstra. Yippee..

Khali/Batista just screams Bathroom break.
SD! results.
Dark Match:
Funaki & Shannon Moore vs. Paul Burchill & Dave Daylor. Funaki and Moore got the pin in a good, short match.
JBL and Cole come to the ring after that for the SD! tapings. Robert noted that much of the arena was tarped off. SmackDown!:
Edge comes on-screen to open SD!. The crowd couldn't hear what exactly he was saying but it was quick. It was a backstage segment deal.
The SmackDown! intro w/ pyro airs.
MVP comes to the ring and joins JBL and Cole. Lots of boo's for him. Matt Hardy is out next to face Chris Masters. Hardy won the match with a twist of fate. After the match. MVP distracted Matt and Masters applied the Master Lock. As Hardy tried to break it, MVP jumped in the ring and beat him down. Masters and MVP leave after MVP hits his finishing move on Matt. Matt Hardy vs. MVP at the Great American Bash.
Finlay vs. Jimmy Wang Yang is next Finlay wins the match and afterwards Hornswoggle runs in. Finlay throws Hornswoggle over Jimmy Yang and the two leave.
A Kane video package for the Great American Bash is shown.
A Major Brothers video package airs noting that they've been on a roll since coming to SmackDown!.
Chavo Guerrero and Jamie ****le vs. The Major Brothers is next. Chavo got good pop while The Major Brothers didn't receive much of anything. Major Brothers win with a missile dropkick on Chavo.
Vickie Guereero is backstage with The Great Khali's translator. Khali's translator backs him up and she is cornered into a locker-room.
Back from commercial as they are setting up for a contract signing, Khali beats up a random guy (indy wrestler) over a disagreement on the chairs that will be setup for the signing. He says he needs a bigger chair etc etc etc. Blah.
A Rey Mysterio return video package is shown. Big pop.
Edge cuts a backstage promo and turns around to face the TV and Kane's face appears. When he turns around a second time, Kane's face is gone from the screen.
Terry Long comes out for the contract signing and brings out Batista to a huge pop. Khali comes out next. Batista signs quick which is followed by Khali's translator going on a rant about how when Khali issues and open challenge he doesn't expect an 'Animal' to accept. Khali speaks some jibberish before being slapped by Batista. Khali tries to attack but the translator holds him back. Khali on the outside of the ring throws the ring steps inside. Batista throws them back outside before taking a table and tossing that too.
A Local Jobber vs. Chuck Palumbo is up next. The jobber gets in one kick and is totally dominated. Palumbo did his motorcycle gimmick and surprisingly got a big pop.
A Jesse & Festus promo airs - coming soon.
Edge is shown brushing his teeth backstage. When he looks in the mirror, Kane is there. When he looks again, Kane is gone.
Cherry, Deuce, & Domino are backstage. Eugene comes up and says he wants to ride in their car. They tell him that he can have one as long as he defeats Domino's opponent tonight without naming him. It's Eugene vs. Mark Henry. Eugene still has the green paint on his boots. Henry wins with a bear hug. They all taunted Eugene and left.
Backstage segment with Torrie Wilson and Victoria. Victoria she's says the most dominate diva on SmackDown!. It's Torrie vs. Victoria in a few.
Teddy Long, Krystal, and Vickie Guerrero are backstage. Vickie is made the 'maid of honor' for the wedding.
Torrie defeated Victoria by count out. Outside the ring as the two fight, Torrie sneaks in before a 10 count.
Edge throws a Mardi Graas parage. He brings out ltos of cartoon characters like you'd see in a New Orleans parade. They throw out beads, etc etc etc. Edge spots a King & Queen and brings them into the ring. Edge spears the Queen. The King winds up being Kane and he tears the place apart. Kane's pyro hits and the show ends.

Main Event WWE Championship
Cena (c) v Lashley
Also known as battle of the baby faces Cena got this I belive should be a bad match with no real meaning to it, and with two fan favourites how I both dislike! the fans wont no how to cheer for!
World Heavyweight Championship
Edge (c) v Kane
A rematch for Vengance 2005 I'm pulling for Kane but Edge is being given a long title run, Its great that Kane is in a main event and being used.
Ecw Championship
Nitro (c) v Cm Punk
Two hottest guys in the buisness right now the feature looks good if these two guys stick around, hoping Punk wins but I also like Nitro. Hopefuly this will be better than there Vengance Match.
Bullrope Match
Dusty Rhodes v Randy Orton
Not a huge fan of dusty he's just a big tub of goo. Orton to kill yet another legend, not going to be great
United states Champonship
Mvp (c) v Matt Hardy
Hoping for another succesful title deffence from Mvp Imo Going to be one of the only good matches on the card.
Womens Title Match
Candice Michelle (c)v Melina
