I did look at the video, also - you can just type a letter, cancel the text box and continue to go diagonally writing text one letter at a time. I'm sure thats all you did. But if not, sorry.

Why don't you use Ctrl and Z for undo?

You're wrong. If you did that the letters still not would be isometric.
@Nets: I've just always use edit undo :D It's natural now..
