I enjoyed it. Although it should've had a better ending, it still made a decent movie.

I thought she was dead, I wouldn't think it was obvious..

It depends how your mind works, and how much you know about film. Plus, it's not an original idea...From simply seeing the trailer it's obvious that the girl wasn't dead.
