Being a smoker myself thats attempted quitting many times, I can help. But I cant give advice, my methods might not work for you, so I am going to put what I have tried.
- Tried my best to stay away from people who smoke.
- I stopped all together instead of gradually.
- Spent my money on other things as soon as I got it, or put it in a bank. If you have money doing nothing in your pocket it is extremelly tempting to buy cigarettes.
- Had a motivation.
- Dont listen to people trying to help you stop that have never even been a smoker.
I quit for 6 months last summer. I couldnt keep it up though, my grandma was rushed into hospital with liver failure, and I had the biggest argument of my life with my dad both on the same day, and I couldnt give a 'poop' about anything and just got a cigarette of one of my friends.
Good luck quitting, just hope nothing like what happened to me happens to you.
Burn your cigarettes away, forget Global Warming! Be your own MAN!
I quit smoking about 2 weeks ago now. Gave in to temptation the other night when I was out with my mates and smoked about 5. :(
Getting addicted to smoking is stupid.. don't see how people can get addicted, I smoke cigarettes socially..
The best advice i could think of is download that TV Advert where all the people are smoking and the **** turn into that sludgy grey stuff (that apparently is in your viens/vessels if you smoke) and keep watching it untill u feel you can stop lol.
:)
That is disgusting, it makes me feel all ewwy everytime I think of it.Quote:
