That's Bullshush. Sony sold more PS3s in Japan than GCs. Sony is japanese and is incredibly popular.

Umm... The PS2 is the bestselling home console in Japan. The GC sold quite poorly. However, there has been mixed opinion on the PS3 from Japanese gamers about the PS3, considered Sony's strongest market, and this is probably what has catylised the price-drop.
