And say nike has a new shoe and they advertise it.
Even if people dont click to go to the nike site
they will look at the shoe and if their friends are talking about it they will be like yeah i saw it it looks cool
and they might get it.
The actual google video process might be better, but youtube has far more videos, and that all that really matters.
And youtube makes money by ads, like all sites.
And as for ads, I have never heard of anyone who actually clicked one of those "quizes" or game ads. Seriously, if youre dumb enough to fall for that, how do you know how to work a computer?
