it took almost 4 years to code the game.

in 1996 until 2001 it was called "Forest Run" then in 2001 they made it "Runescape" then god knows when they made it "RuneScape2"

but it was called Forest Run before. Apparently much diferent from runescape but the deleted forest run and put on runescape so people assumed it was the same

on the forums andrew said he orginaly came up with the idea of runescape in 1998 /1999 meh
but he also said it took years for the simpilest updates:rolleyes:
