I have sent mine and it was 290 words exactly and they wanted it to be around 300 words so I am sure they will let me off. :P

Yea I suppose in year 9 they are about that long however get used to writing longer essays as when you start your GCSE's next year, you not know what has hit you. I am in College now and I consider the GCSE essays to be quite easy now due to how many we have to do at college. :P
