The nunchuk is just basically an analog stick, not really a controller. You can't play a game with just the nunchuk, and some games don't even use it. So I wouldn't really say that it is a controller. :PQuote:

You can play Most GC games with Wii Mote But You need the SNES controller for SNES VC games , The gun is mostly for Metroid and shooting games like that but you dont really need it as the wiimote acts like a gun anyway
Obviously you only buy them controllers if your going to be playing Snes games, its not a must.
I would suggest buying another Wii controller seeing as you only get 1.
