probably cos you actually like in usa or something?

The best way to connect to xbox live is hard wired.

Router-----Ethernet------Hub (If in a network)--------Ethernet-------360

With AOL I do:

Phone socket ----> DSL Filter ----> Router ----> Ethernet Cable ----> Xbox 360

Works perfect, had no problems at all.
