Cartilage piercings (from what I've heard) are among the most painful. Nose is a lot less painful, makes your eyes water.
I never really got the whole "hey I want lot of piercings" thing, if I want a piercing it's because I want that specific one for a reason. As such I have but three: tongue (because it's useful for the ladies), eyebrow (because I adore how it looks) and earlobe (stretched with a fat ring in it, again I love how it looks).
Only other piercings I can think of that I might possibly get are another lobe one just above where my current one is (depends on whether I switch back to plugs or not) and maybe another eyebrow one next to the one I have.. don't know really, eyebrow's a bit dodgy anyway.

It hurts like the ear not to bad my friend had it done like your ear.

My friend has her nose done... said it hurt abit but it then it was fine once she got use to it.
I have (well had) 3 piercings on my top ear (2 in 1 ear, 1 in the other) didnt hurt when I got any of them done, but after a while 2 of them messed up and started... yea... going yucky so I took them out a let them heal... now I just have one and its fine!
But yea overall doesnt hurt ;]
I couldn't ever get any piercings im such a baby :'(
