The sidekick, although less popular, looks better. The keyboard is wider also, making it more comfortable to type :)

imo you'd be much better of getting the blackberry, by far the better of the two with a much better design for typing fast (which seems to be one of your major issues) its design is sturdy and looks all together nicer, although the size could be off putting, I'd still go for the blackberry :)
