I think it just depends what context its in. If its abused we can just filter it again :).

Would channel 4 let you get away with saying it :rolleyes_ (The 1 above me)
Gosh let's just unfilter the word ******* while we're at it. (Work it out :))
Totally agree as I said in the other thread this word is referred to in reference books and dictionarys as being a derogatory and offensive term which isn't the same as say Aussie or Brit. You are right it is no different to the N word. I think the decision should be reconsidered.
In response to the first post, I dont understand why you'd want to use that word? As far as I know its only meaning is sexual, and talk of the nature is forbidden. Care to enlighten me?
Whoever unfiltered **** has done a good job, MAD? - Good work.
It's not racist and is same as Brit and Aussie, if it's considered offensive should we ban 'Chav'? and scally etc? - No.
Personally i think everyone or no-one should eb able to say ******, why do black people find it offensive if a white person says it but they can use it with their mates :S thats just splitting people up into the colour of their skin.
And i think good decision on unfiltering **** btw, political correctness should start being phased out of soceity IMO
If you are now unflitering words that have a proper and valid meaning, id personally suggest adding *astard (someone whos parents arnt married), *itch (a female dog) and *ss (the correct term for a donkey) to that list as well, since they are FAR more likely to be used in the correct context than "****" most likely is going to be, and are very limitedly offensive to start with "/ Even *rse (which means ya butt aint really offensive to anyone and comprises expressions much like the world crap does "my works a pain in the *rse" Just my two pence anyway.
As for orgasm i cant figure out why in the world that would need to be filtered to start with?
