Although it may look fancy and you may have paid for the features there are a lot more users who have VIP than there are in the platinum usergroup. In times of severe sever strain this idea has the potential to slow down loading pages even further as it takes longer to load 10 .gif images (if all posters on a page are VIP) than to load the basic unanimated VIP image.
If you dont mind running the risk of a slight decrease in page loading time then go ahead but I personally dont see the point considering all the features VIPs have already. :)

I like this idea, we could make it sleek, possibly only making the dual lines on the Vip image flash slightly, we have to look into getting our graphics staff on the job.
yhyh i posted it somewhere aswell about it flashing, i think it would be a good idea. but i doubt it would happen now as nick- did provide a good reason why it shouldnt happen.
