I know how bad knee problems can be.

Just be sure you rest it and stuff. But seriously OUCH!

cheers every1, and i dnt know wat kind of fracture it is, all i know is i got a wheelchair, an eletric one two :P also, i cnt remember it atall, they recon my heart muked up again :@ as most of u know and i collapsed nd fell. It rele hurts though.

I ment did he break the actual kneecap or one of the bones which are attached to the kneecap.

Make sure its not a fake surgeon doing the cutting cos you don't wanna wake up with your bum on your head! ;)
