lmao same!
my best mate was in love with Linkin Park, back in like 2002. i never listened to music then but always played Linkin Park songs when I was round his house. I've just stuck with rock since then.

i think i might get tickets for the astoria date, do you think i might get battered though?
i saw them at taste of chaos, and i was probably the second row outside the pit. so i only had a couple of people in front of me to protect me.
try and get behind someone. most people are only there to keep people going, and if they get knocked you dont get the worst of it.
if you fall over, people will pick you back up, frank'll make sure of it. he's all for having fun, but making sure everyone is safe.
Agreed, I saw them on tour with As I Lay Dying, they were mental.
And I always liked 50s & 60s Rock and Roll, I was brought up listening to Chuck Berry, The Hollies etc.
Then when I was about 8 my mom got me tickets to a Bonjovi Concert (Bounce Tour, Hyde Park) and I loved Bon Jovi every since then.
That made me aware of slightly more 'modern' rock and I started listening to bands like Blink-182 who were my favourite band for several years, and are to some extent still today.
Then I started listening to more acoustic music, like Manchester Orchestra, Bright Eyes, The Spill Canvas, Brand new etc.
And then I met my current boyfriend nearly a year ago now who decided to put loads of metal music on my computer, so that got me into that.
And now I just listen to everything really, but mostly Metal & Acoustic. (:
I think the most influential song on me was Cradel of the Forest by Joe Romersa, it got me out of Pop and into harder music which lead to Metal and Industrial.
nickelback then blink 182 then red hot chilli pepers.
then kanye west 50 cent and now T pain and any song which chris brown brings out. i was like **** because t-pain and chris brown brought one out together ;D
nickelback and busted
hahaha good times :')
inxs, blondie and squeeze are the bands i grew up around, so i started to like rock music when i was younger. after that, i discovered the music channels and fell in love with destiny's child and britney spears, launching my love for POP MUSIC. i stole my sister's "baby one more time" album when i was young and never stopped playing it :D i was then lured back into the rock music scene by my auntie, with bands like maroon 5, foo fighters and green day, and the 2 combined and they're my favourite genres, and maroon 5 and britney spears being my favourite artists.
Back when I was wee, maybe 5-11 I used to love The Spice Girls, Sophie Elles Bexter (or what ever her name is). On my 12th birthday i went out and bought 2 Blink 1-8-2 albums (The album covers still rock), never before hearing a song. I was in my room for like 3 days straight listening to them. Eminem also rocked at this time. From blink i went to Slipknot, Staind, InMe (I still love them to date), Limp Bizkit, Nickelback and Linkin Park. The Stained ft. Fred Durst song 'Outside' changed my life.
When I was about 14, with help from the internet, I found my love for unsigned bands like The Mascara Story/Save ourselves/Rescue the astronaughts. Daveit Ferris, lead singer/songwriter from TMS and RTA was a major influence to me, introducing me to bands like Incubus. Weird Al hould also get a mention.
At 15 I started to like really dark metal/zombie metal like Send More Paramedics, Parkway Drive, Hatebreed, Suicide Silence etc. I also as introduced to Alexisonfire, Underoath, Bowling for soup and Fightstar. I also fell in love with City & Colour/The Scene Aesthetic which introduced me to some mainstream indie like The Kooks.
At 16 till present day I still like all of the above as well as 2pac/JMJ/RunDMC/Plan B/Dizzee Rascal/Akon. I guess I started to listen to this stuff become my cousin became a grime artist (H.U.F clothing line out this month =D). My friend at college played me some Sikth and whoa, mindblowing stuff.
All the bands mentioned gave me a shiver in my spine when i first heard them. I think thats about it.
